Who can set up a business in the Port?

We focus on setting up businesses that can generate maritime activity. Regardless of whether you work in manufacturing, trading, storage, logistics, port services to companies, you are welcome to set up on the Port. Other projects may also offer other opportunities that we can analyse together.

Can I buy a space on the domain of the Port?

The domain of the port remains public property and you cannot purchase property in it. Nevertheless we offer solutions for all needs, in particular, temporary occupation permits for very long periods, enjoying real rights.

Can we build on a space in the Port?

You can freely build your installations. The system of real rights gives you the rights and obligations of the owner of the facilities that you build and allow you to mortgage these facilities and thereby secure financing, by lease, for example.

What is the maximum duration for occupying a space?

A temporary occupancy agreement may not exceed 70 years. Below thus legal limit, we negotiate a duration that allows you to build a solid business plan and amortise your investment. Other arrangements are also used to extend the duration for specific projects requiring this, to be studied case by case.

Can I transfer or sell my rights to another company?

You can absolutely do so subject to the approval of Atlantic Port La Rochelle. This approval guarantees the buyer's business plan, his ability to make payment of royalties and the consistency of his project with that of the Port. We do not intervene in your negotiations with potential buyers.
