On 24 March 2024, the Vigipirate alert level was raised to the highest possible level, Urgence Attentat (definite threat / prevent major attack), following national events as well as international events and contexts.

Drone flight request
In accordance with the Decree of 3 December 2020 on the use of airspace by unmanned aircraft, recreational drone flights are strictly prohibited in the port area. Drone flights for professional use are possible under certain conditions.

Group visits
All year round, the City of La Rochelle and Port Atlantique La Rochelle offer bus tours of the port facilities. Tours of the Port are also organised for school groups, led by a guide from La Rochelle Tourist Office. Professionals are invited to contact the Union Maritime.
