A pre-condition for application for clearance in Restricted Access Areas (ZAR) is the possession or an approved application via MILO, of a valid permanent port access permit.
Authorisation is obtained after an administrative enquiry, on advice of the Service National des Enquêtes Administratives et de Sécurité and after a final decision by the Prefect, taken by prefectoral order. A specific access permit is issued following authorisation.
Authorisation is valid for a maximum of 5 years (the duration may be limited depending on the case). If necessary, a renewal request can be made before the expiry date.
Exceptional and strictly temporary access: Waiting for ZAR authorisation or in the case of a strictly exceptional need for ZAR access, please contact us directly, depending on your activity :
- The shipping agent in charge of the ship's port of call, for an activity related to the port of call ;
- The port operators of the two terminals (oil operators or GPMLR's Harbour Master's Office and Maritime Infrastructures Department), for activities related to the facility.
